When Light hits objects on a sunny day, the darkness beneath or beside the objects is called shade, and I have seen many people take refuge in the shade, whether to cool off , or avoid the intensity of the light in some way. But in the darkest hours of the night, The same anomaly is called a shadow, and the same people that sought out the shade, avoid the shadow...
Now the same mind that told you the shade was "safe" tells you the shadow is "dangerous", yet it is the same darkness that the light painted at a different time of day. So the brain warps sometime between dawn and dusk, Now isn't that something to think about!
I spent my Vampire moments Drinking in some of the shows I had DVR'ed, there was House, and Brothers and Sisters, and a Scrap book show. I wanted to watch more of the OC, but after 12 hours straight, I needed a break. 12 hours...and I didn't even make it through the 4th disc, and there are 28 of them...I'll be busy for a while, But it is a GREAT show.
My Son is going on another mission in the desert, I worry about him a lot, but he is in no worse danger than my children that are home, bad things can happen to anyone at anytime, you don't need to be at war to get caught in the middle of something dangerous. In fact he is on alert, he is sort of ready, always prepared (for the most part), But the ones tucked in safely at home....They don't expect anything to go wrong, there is a false sense of security for those of us safe at home. I get creeped out watching those serial killer movies, I know they are out there, and most are invisible, Kind of like a Vampire, They look like any other human, until they find their victims.
Have you ever used the light to paint? Can you see What I see Between the light and the dark? The shades of grey .........
